Following the release of "Dancing in the Graveyard," Riley began to focus on what she needed to do to sustain herself and continue to pursue songwriting and performing. At a crossroads, Riley decided to step back from music briefly, but not entirely by still continuing to write. After a few months rogue, Riley came back to with new lyrics, and stories to tell.​

In late January of 2025 Riley released back-to-back singles, "Some Bar" and "Rearview," showing off her broad writing style. Following these releases, Riley began to plan the release of her debut EP "Better Off Alone," coming summer 2025.
